The Pretend Store Lantern (Workstead + Fuzzco) was created exclusively for the Pretend Store series in the Fall of 2013. It is constructed from two plywood boxes, latched together with zinc-plated steel hinges, and equipped with a metal handle for ease of transport. Powered by a re-chargeable battery pack concealed within the lower box, it operates via a toggle switch for 8-12 hours with no charge. It is hand painted with 4 patterns designed by Fuzzco. Utilitarian yet refined, it functions as a portable light source or a permanent fixture.
